Butoh-Puppetry
I have developed a unique performance language that blends the depth of somatic impulses of Butoh with the poetic materiality of puppetry and performing objects.
Since 2023, my primary artistic question has been how to animate soil, in order to awaken the public to the wisdom and life-force of dirt.

Land
Embodiment begins with our connection to the earth. Since 2019, my interdisciplinary performance work is focused on creating ecological intimacy between land and people across chasms of trauma and disconnection.

Medicine
Since 2016, I have trained over 600 medical students, clinicians and healers through my somatic training program, Your Body Is Medicine®.

Disability
I work from the viewpoint of “disability embrace”, a term coined by scholar Julia Watts Belser that views illness and disability experiences as sources of wisdom, insight and knowledge. For both land and people, healing does not mean curing.
